Fire & Lightning Damage

Fire and Lighting damage insurance claims require extensive investigation. These types of losses can become rather complex, as they often include damaged and compromised electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural components. Subject matter experts may be required in order to properly access all known damages.

In a fire loss it is not just the fire that causes damage but also the water required to extinguish the fire. The immense heat put off by fires can compromise other components including wall and structural fasteners, metal window and door frames etc. The smoke can work its way into walls, through attics, and even into and through insulated cavities.

After a fire, your property may no longer be safe to occupy or enter. Structural damages may not be immediately apparent. Also the burning of several building materials and household products may release toxic fumes, which will not naturally dissipate for quite some time after your loss.
